The company runs a hotel at the countryside. The business was running well but was suffering from high energy costs and a non-sufficient comfort level for the guests in wintertime.
The hotel management asked RuSEFF experts to conduct an energy assessment and to recommend energy saving measures. RuSEFF experts offered the following measures: replacement of old boilers by modern gas-fired boilers; insulation of roof and walls; replacement of old wooden windows, installation of a LED lighting system.
The proposed investment of USD 670 000 resulted in reduction of energy costs by 32%. The payback of the total investments is 4.9 years and return on investment is 20.4%. Having reduced CO2 - eq. emission by 107 tonnes per year the hotel can now be promoted amongst clients as environmentally friendly with a high level of comfort.
