On 20-21 of June, 2011 an International Conference on Sustainable Energy Financing Facilities (SEFF) took place at the headquarters of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London. Representatives of all 15 EBRD SEFF projects from 10 countries met to discuss experience and ways of future development of the SEFF programs. Key speaker at the conference was Michael Liebreich from Bloomberg New Energy Finance who was giving a speech on Global Trend in Sustainable Energy Finance and Challenges Ahead. Present at the conference were various Banks participating in the SEFF program and a number of donors who are supporting the SEFF program in various countries of EBRD operation. Topics of the discussions addressed a genuine growing awareness of Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving issues. Crucial for Energy efficiency investments is the provision of adequate finance which is provided by the SEFF program.
